Before we see what bands are playing this weekend, let's not forget about the Fresno Film Festival, NOtown's first Fresno bout of the year and Creative Fresno's Annual Meeting happening at the new CMAC.
Alright, heads up: Friday's music pattern is definately full… LET'S BANDGEEK!:
FRIDAY
STARLINE: We want to give this one the Show Of The Night award but there's too many other good ones. You've got Los Angeles' The Hangmen plus a CD release party from Fresno's The Backstabbers, the very good Third Rail Power Trip (Fresno) and more:
AUDIE'S OLYMPIC: San Jose ska band, Monkey, comes to town and is joined by Fresno's King Sugar and Checkered Past:
FULTON 55: Damn dude, a lot of Fresno talent coming out to support local musician, Keeney, whom was recently in a bad skateboarding accident and needs some support. All performing are Patrick Contreras, From the Fallen, HammerDown Sindrum, Merduh the Innocynce, E-Rose, Beal Street, Joe Davis, Dislodic and Soul Intact. Plus a special set by Keeney:
THE CYC: Valley metal and hardcore rule the night with Blackwoods, Cursed, Failed Creation, Doloris Clairbourne, Evisceration and Obsidian Seraph:
THE LAMP POST: Fresnan rock with The Dirty Stomp + NoGenre:
C.A.F.E. INFOSHOP: Humbolt's Creepy Marbles, Nicole Kidman (Oakland), Sci-Fi Caper, Lover Boy, Glamour Tronic and Restaurnaut:
CLUB RETRO: A rare night of a lineup that makes some sense for Club Retro. It's all local with Melina May, Wakeland, Piecemakers, My Beautiful Surrender and The Current.
KUPPAJOE'S: Off this weekend.
THAI PALMS: Home grown Fresnans DB & The Struggle, Drexl and AC Myles:
FULL CIRCLE BREWERY: Bands go acoustic, including Downtown Attraction (L.A.) Guitar Center's 'Win a Record with Slash Winners' State Line Empire. Plus locals Tommy Marquez and GRISTLE. And guitarist Patrick Olivas & Strawberry Revenge:
BABYLON: It's the Aperire Arts Festival and there is… there is a lot going on. Try to let it soak in:
SATURDAY

Three great bands all snuggled into the friendly confines of Storyland (and yes, there will be adult beverages). If you're a member of CF, this is a free event! If not, you just need $20 bucks to get you get in and as a bonus you become a member of Creative Fresno! You can say you just took part in making Fresno a cooler place to be – this is what Creative Fresno does, people.
